Ronit, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve being working in the skincare industry for almost 25 years as an esthetician. I was trained by the top plastic surgeons and dermatologists in Beverly Hills. As an esthetician, I’ve been treating different skin types and colors for many years and helping people look good and feel confident. I used and admired many different skincare brands but I couldn’t find one that has everything I wanted. Things like the State of California Environmental Protection Agency Requirements which are cruelty-free, vegan, alcohol-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, minimum ingredients. I also prefer the products to be hydrating and gentle on the skin.

Cruelty-free and vegan are personally the most important to me, as I grew up in a big farm in Israel while surrounded by animals and nature. I also have dry/sensitive skin and it was hard for me to find a product that will address my skin’s dryness without clogging and irritating my skin. For the last seven years, I was searching for information and a trusted lab to create my skincare brand that will focus on gentle exfoliation, super hydration with drastic results that will be soothing for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is easy when you start a new project, but it was defiantly exciting, challenging, and at the same time very rewarding. My boys were very young and I didn’t want to miss the joy of motherhood so I was limited with the time I had to create my brand. I took baby steps through the whole process and seven years later, it was done.
The easiest mission was naming my brand “Arilan” that is the combination of my boy’s names Ari and Ilan.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Arilan Skincare – what should we know?
Working with different skin types for over 25 years armed me with knowledge and helped me understand the skin’s different needs. My skincare brand is great for all skin types and colors. I wanted to create products that will be great for everyone, I believe in frequent gentle exfoliation and super hydration. My favorite hydrating ingredient is hyaluronic acid that I added to my day and night cream, my oxygenating mask and my pure hyaluronic serum. I am very proud to read the reviews on our website, where clients are raving about the quality of my products and the results they are experiencing.

My products are cruelty-free and vegan, certified by Peta and Leaping Bunny. I also believe in helping others and supporting hungry families, abused kids and animals. I donate $1 of each order to 6 different charity organizations as; Feeding America, St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PETA, Emina Cunmulaj Project, Leaping Bunny and Casa Pacifica. My business is 100% female-owned and proudly manufactured in United States.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I couldn’t do it without the support of my two boys Ari and Ilan. They helped me with emails, customer service and social media. Big thanks to my amazing bloggers and who are going live on the Arilan Skincare Facebook page, demonstrating my products, and hosting our giveaways. Thank you to my beauty influencers who are raving about my products on Instagram, posting videos, and tagging us. I am lucky to be working with four talented photographers and beautiful models. It takes a village 🙂
